We are currently looking for a Proposals Manager with a proven track record within the Facilities Management industry to be based from our Watford HQ. The proposals manager is responsible for developing win themes, engaging content and developing successful submissions to ensure success at winning work. The proposals manager needs to fully understand the Organisations Facilities offering and must develop content in conjunction with the wider team that is both technically excellent and compelling to a prospective or existing customer. Responsibilities • Coordination and support of internal meetings related to proposal development and budget preparation • The ability to quickly identify risks within a tender submission. • Support of Business Development in the communication and negotiation with clients • Assistance of Project Management and Sales Operations in determining proposal, pricing and selling strategies • Close cooperation with Finance, Senior Management and Business Development to facilitate and drive the submission of proposal documents • Assistance in the development and maintenance of templates, tools and processes • Look after the entire bid stage of tender negotiations, from drafting documents to final handover to the contract manager • Prepare responses to requests for information, pre-qualification questionnaires, invitations to tender and requests for proposals • Manage virtual teams to gather and present the information required • Attend internal and external meetings that are part of the bid process • Always be on the look-out for ways to improve our bid management process • Maintain Bid Management content, collateral and tools - making sure all information is properly monitored and reviewed Essential Qualifications/Skills • Previous experience of working on public and private sector Facilities Management tenders, ranging from £1m-£20m per annum. • A sound understanding of Hard and/or Soft Facilities Management/Services, with an ability to support the development of the operational and commercial solution for new business pursuits. • Experience in the development of win themes and customer value proposition, distinguishing our proposal from the competition. • The ability to effectively project plan and project manage proposals from cradle to grave. • Strong written English, with significant experience in the production of quality submissions. • A strong collaborator, capable of indirectly managing a multi-disciplinary team. • Strong attention to detail, ensuring the bid governance process is followed throughout the proposal lifecycle. • The ability to multi-task/delegate, supporting multiple opportunities at various stages of the sales cycle. • Degree qualified (or equivalent) and or practical experience of building service engineering/FM delivery. • APMP Certification Course (Associate and/or Professional) • Formal bid writing training
