Contract: Full time
Responsibilities
As Pump Engineer, you'll be working within the tunnels and pump stations team, supporting them to ensure the efficient running of all electro-mechanical maintenance duties on pumps and associated control systems installed in network pump stations and tunnel sumps.
Your day to day will include:
- Carrying out electro-mechanical planned preventative maintenance duties as instructed, on a variety of centrifugal and submersible pump types, associated electrical control equipment and the process monitoring systems
- Responding promptly to equipment faults in the tunnels and pump stations as instructed, diagnosing and repairing defects
- Operating a variety of equipment and plant vehicles, making daily defect reports on vehicles, making sure they are maintained in a good order
This role of Pump Engineer is great for you if you can:
- Demonstrate studies in Electro-mechanical Engineering with the ability to read electrical drawings/schematics
- Show experience working with pumps and pumping systems, electric motors, and pump control systems
- Produce a full driving licence and work at height, with training in mobile elevated work platforms
