An experienced and highly organised Purchase Ledger Administrator with previous experience of working in a multi-functional finance team is required to provide a professional and efficient purchase ledger service for a fast growing, well-established facilities management company working across an impressive portfolio of buildings throughout London and the South East.

This role is heavily customer focused and requires someone with a great eye for detail, a questioning mind and the ability to work methodically to identify and resolve data and invoicing discrepancies.
Based in the heart of Canary Wharf within a 2-minute walk of a range of cafés bars and shops, the successful Purchase Ledger Administrator will be fully responsible for several purchase ledger processes, from purchase orders through to invoices and reconciliation. Once fully conversant with our client's processes, the opportunity exists for the successful candidate to work remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Matching, checking, and coding invoices
- Processing staff expenses
- Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Data Entry and the filing of invoices
- Being first point of contact for all relevant enquiries
- Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
- Reviewing systems and processes and making improvements where necessary
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a similar, purchase ledger focussed role within a broader Accounts Dept.
- Level 3 qualification (A-Level, National Diploma) or equivalent
- Experienced in Excel and Microsoft office packages
- Knowledge of financial software packages such as Sage
- Highly self-motivated with a keen eye for accuracy
- A questioning mind with the ability to work methodically to identify and resolve discrepancies on invoices and data
- Excellent communications skills, including exceptional telephone manner and the ability to draft professional accurate emails and general communications
- An ability to work quickly and efficiently to meet deadlines
- Strong, trustworthy, interpersonal skills, including the ability to build excellent relationships with suppliers, senior management and the wider team
