Position: Purchasing Administrator

Team: Buying and procurement

Location: Within 1 hour commute of Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire

Kier Construction is looking to employ a Purchasing Administrator with previous accounts and Oracle experience who be responsible for the administration of materials, goods and services procurement.

Responsibilities:
  • Obtain Goods Received Notes (GRNs) from sites on a (minimum) weekly basis, chasing returns where necessary
  • Receipt goods in Oracle eBS by entering GRNs against purchase orders in Oracle eBS
  • Liaise with site managers / procurement department / suppliers to resolve queries efficiently
  • Notify deliveries without a purchase order or incomplete purchase order to the procurement department and site team
  • Promote discipline in goods receiving and accurate recording of deliveries by sites
  • Identify common and reoccurring issues and escalate to management

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of construction materials would be advantageous
  • Oracle eBS experience would be advantageous
  • Accurate and confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Persistent problem solver
  • Good IT skills, Oracle eBS, Outlook and Excel
