As the QAQC Supervisor for our data center construction project, you will be a key player in maintaining high-quality standards throughout the construction process. Your responsibilities will include:
Supervision and Coordination:
- Lead and supervise a team of QAQC inspectors, ensuring their adherence to established quality control plans and procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to coordinate and implement effective QAQC processes.
Inspections and Audits:
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications, design drawings, and relevant codes.
- Identify and document any deviations, non-conformances, or areas requiring corrective action.
Training and Development:
- Provide training to QAQC team members and project staff on quality control processes, standards, and best practices.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence within the project team.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions taken.
- Generate comprehensive reports for project stakeholders, highlighting QAQC performance and areas of improvement.
Collaborative Problem-Solving:
- Work closely with project teams to address and resolve quality issues promptly.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to ensure ongoing project success.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical OR Electrical Trade Background and/or a Third Level qualification in either Mechanical / Electrical or Building Services Engineering preferred such as NVQ/City and Guilds etc.
- 8+ years' experience in a similar role essential.
- Good Knowledge of Installation and commissioning.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational / planning skills.
- Ability to self-manage, prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Ability to support, manage, lead and enthuse others.
