Qualified Accountant - E-Commerce - Glasgow

Our client is a market leader in the health and wellbeing industry, with a mission to inspire positive lifestyle changes through a combination of unique products and actionable information.

Their ongoing success means they are looking to grow their team yet again and are seeking a highly motivated, qualified Accountant to join their Glasgow-based operation.

This role will involve the full array of finance responsibilities, including:

  • Bank payment entry and reconciliation
  • Working in multi-currency accounts
  • Purchase ledger invoice and payment entry and reconciliation
  • Preparing weekly supplier payment run
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Payment gateway reconciliation
  • VAT returns via Xero
  • Wages, stock and monthly journal posting
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Assisting with the implementation of financial processes and controls
  • Monthly management reporting
  • Budget monitoring and reporting
  • Revenue and KPI reporting
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Managing accounts mailbox
  • Inter-company reconciliations

The skills and experience we are looking for are:

  • Experience of working with Xero is essential
  • A working knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations, including inter-company reconciliations, control account, accruals and prepayments
  • Experience in bookkeeping and accounting systems from accountancy practice or e-commerce finance team of a least 3 years
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of Excel

The role attracts a highly competitive salary, generous annul leave allowance and membership of a private health care scheme once the three month probation period is complete.

The role is based in the G4 area of Glasgow and we would expect the successful applicant to be on site for up to 2 days each week, with the remainder of the week being based at home.
