Kier Infrastructure Major Projects are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer to work across our Sofia project in the North-East.
Job Responsibilities
In this exciting Quality Engineer role, you'll monitor onsite works quality through inspections and physical checks to ensure compliance with Nuclear Safety standards, drawings and specifications. You'll work closely with member of the construction team including suppliers and sub-contractors within area of responsibility, to ensure the required Nuclear Safety quality control standards are met; and identify major deficiencies and non-conformances and recommend stopping the works where Nuclear Safety standards are significantly breached. You'll also ensure Quality documentation and records are appropriately collated and maintain logs and registers to track quality trends.
What do we need from you?
Ideally you'll be ISO 9001 trained and achieved, or working towards a professional quality qualification. You'll also have a HND or Degree in Construction or related subject and demonstrable knowledge and practical application of quality control activities. You'll be a CSCS card holder and have strong written and verbal communication skills. You'll also have an ability to interpret structural engineering drawings and specifications.
