The candidate must be ok with travelling to Rotherham on a daily basis.

Working hours

Monday to Thursday 8:00-17:00. Friday 8:00-16:00.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead quality risk assessments using a defined methodology and drive the implementation of the risk mitigation program
  • Validate material and equipment changes to ensure quality, process capability and engineering targets are achieved at the rotherham site
  • Engage in overall business strategy and performance and ensure quality activities are aligned in driving success
  • When quality issues occur, work with relevant functions to identify and deliver timely solutions in order to minimize manufacture impact
  • Ensure quality deviations (complaints, supplier failures, batch failures, audit findings) are recorded, investigated and acted upon in a robust and timely manner.
  • Deploy new and changing quality standards and requirements as identified by the business
  • Quality engineer must identify opportunities for efficiency improvements in both quality and manufacture processes
  • Create, review, approve and train out new or changing quality documentation
  • Provide training on quality and engineering requirements to ensure site wide understanding and compliance

Essential:

  • Previous quality experience in a manufacture environment, preferably in the engineering and manufacturing industry
  • Able to plan and execute qualification / validation activities
  • Problem solving, root cause analyses and deployment of robust solution
  • Data analyses and Continuous improvement
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Analytical thinking
  • Ability to make sound, risk based decisions
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to lead behavioural change, strong influencing skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to present reports and clear action plans
