We're looking for a Quality Engineer to join our Major Projects Sellafield team based in Seascale, Cumbria. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days annual leave, sharesave scheme, family friendly policies and even more.

Responsibilities
As a Quality Engineer you'll be working within the Major Projects team supporting the the technical compliance of the project to the design specification, to meet the required quality, time and safety standards of the project.

Your day to day will include:

  • You'll monitor onsite works quality through inspections and physical checks to ensure compliance with Nuclear Safety standards, drawings and specifications.
  • You'll work closely with member of the construction team including suppliers and sub-contractors within area of responsibility, to ensure the required Nuclear Safety quality control standards are met; and identify major deficiencies and non-conformances and recommend stopping the works where Nuclear Safety standards are significantly breached.
  • You'll also ensure Quality documentation and records are appropriately collated and maintain logs and registers to track quality trends.


Who are we looking for?

This role of Quality Engineer is great for you if:

  • You'll have been ISO 9001 trained and achieved, or working towards a professional quality qualification.
  • You'll also have a HND or Degree in Construction or related subject and demonstrable knowledge and practical application of quality control activities.
  • You'll be a CSCS card holder and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • You'll also have the ability to interpret structural engineering drawings and specifications.
