Position: Quality Manager

Location: Kilkenny

Salary: DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day effective management of the quality team and Responsibility for the development and implementation of the ISO9001:2015
  • Ensure that the site is continuously in a state of audit readiness.
  • Work with Supervisors and Operating staff to establish and maintain procedures, standards, and systems.
  • Lead a continuous improvement culture.
  • Implement Policy, Technical and Standard Operating Procedures in line with regulatory, customer and site requirements. Review all SOPs, simplify and ensure that they are streamlined and relevant.
  • Ensure that all products produced are of the highest Safety and Quality standards & according to agreed customer specifications.
  • Conduct Internal Audits to identify process gaps and improvements including preparing a detail plan for implementation of new recommended processes and procedures. This will assume total ownership of the proposed procedure for implementation.
  • Participate and lead internal and external supplier auditing, customer complaints, product release, validation.
  • Management of corrective and preventative system
  • Maintenance of inspection and test equipment including calibration
  • Identification of training needs of quality team
  • Management of the non-conforming product and raw material systems
  • Carry out quality checks and ensure paperwork is all signed and up to ISO and EN1090 standard.
  • Reviewing customer requirements and making sure they are met.
  • Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
  • Setting standards for quality as well as health and safety.
  • Coordinate all QA/QC activities with the factory managers

Requirements:

  • 2 years + experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and quality control standards
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.

  • Ability to empower individuals and teams to drive Quality Management activities.
  • Ability to manage by identifying opportunities for Improvement and implementing continuous improvement actions/teams/processes to address and impact these.
  • Ability to demonstrate teamwork and collaboration.
  • Knowledge of formal quality system audits and requirements.
