Responsibilities
Kier construction are delivering a key educational project in Currie High School. The build will be delivered to Passivhaus standard providing a state-of-the-art education facility for the area. The Site Quality manager will be part of the site delivery team and will take an active role in ensuring the delivery of quality from sub-contractor partners through effective communication, scrutiny and management of work.
Your day to day will include:
- Carry Out Toolbox talks and site inductions
- Check RAMS to ensure safe methods of work
- Carry out quality checks
- Issue instructions to sub contractors
- Check and update progress on site
- Liaise with Project Manager on site issues
- Liaise with client representatives
To be effective in the role the site manager will have experience of working within the main contracting environment and display strong technical acuity, eye for detail and excellent communication skills as well as sound knowledge of H&S regs and CDM. In addition, they will hold:
- Relevant qualification in construction management or trade (HND / NQ/ SVQ)
- CITB SMSTS 5 Day Cert
- CSCS Card
- First Aid Certificate
- Full UK Drivers License
