Now Dutton are looking for a Quantity Surveyor for a stonemasonry contractor.
Reporting To:
Directors
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing valuations for payment applications to the client
- Managing change control (Compensation events, early warnings)
- Liaising with subcontractors and effectively assessing their invoices and applications for payment
- Analysing and interrogating costs compared to budget and allowances
- Assisting with the preparation of tender submissions
- Resolving disputes with clients and subcontractors
- Preparing subcontract documentation
- Ability to use own initiative and work under direction when required
- Working closely with team members to ensure all value is captured
- Production of CVRs and analysis of same
- Liaise with the site teams and take the lead with contract administration including record keeping
- Measurement of the works
Background
Ideally degree qualified
- Competent in MS Excel
- A clear understanding of NEC contracts
- Some experience within civils/telecoms industry
- Ability to interpret and understand contract documents, scopes of works and contract drawings
- An appreciation of financial cost control and value recovery
Job Type: Full-time
