We are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Highways team in Shrewsbury to undertake the process of commercial control for all aspects of the contract.
Key Responsibilities
As Quantity Surveyor you will be identifying and agreeing the value of additional works, interim valuations, final accounts and the production and management of contractual documentation. Responsible for the provision of estimating, contributing to improving efficiency and profitability. Working closely with operations and design teams to ensure accurate and sufficient detail, and to help achieve project delivery forecasts. Agree prices with Shropshire Council, analyse scheme costs and provide commercial guidance and assistance. Proactively input into the development of the business team providing assistance to senior management and project teams in order to assist in the delivery of business objectives and goals. Commercial management of schemes during the construction phase and also final account reconciliation
We are seeking candidates who?
- Hold an industry relevant degree or qualification
- Have good working knowledge in a similar role
- Can analyse scheme financial data
- Communicate confidently and effectively
