Responsibilities:

  • Estimating and negotiating change orders through project lifecycle
  • Provide effective quantity surveying and cost control through the project lifecycle including controlling and presenting project budgets
  • Creation of measurement packages across all disciplines for contractor agreement
  • Review and approval of monthly contractor valuations
  • Meeting, negotiating and corresponding with contractors to aid strong working relationships across the team
  • Coordination of project cost data from all sources
  • Review and provide responses to any contractual claims
  • Perform a leading role in setting objectives and mentoring junior team members where applicable
  • Work as a proactive team player
  • Maintain good communication with our clients
  • Undertake commercial management services with limited supervision
  • Always deliver in an accurate and timely manner meeting client deadlines where applicable
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times

Desired Skills and Experience:

· Formal qualification in Quantity Surveying preferable

. Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (desirable)

. Pre and post-contract experience

· Knowledge of all forms of contracts (LS, Cost Plus, Reimb, etc..)

· 2+ years' experience working in a construction cost management role on medium or large

construction projects

· A good working knowledge of MS Excel and the ability to learn how to use specialist software

· Requires detailed knowledge of industry standards and methods, including procurement

routes

· Demonstrate a high level of self-organization, coordination and planning

· Must be a team player and integrate easily with others
