A long-established leader in the construction steel industry has a requirement for a quantity surveyor in North Yorkshire to join a close-knit team,
As a Quantity surveyor some of your key responsibilities will be:
* As a Quantity surveyor you will be Preparing plans, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
* As a Quantity surveyor you will be Ensuring all incoming tender & quote requests are tracked and returned in a timely manner
* As a Quantity surveyor you will be Review specifications for the project and analyse drawings for tenders and preparing quotations.
* As a Quantity surveyor you will be Managing and controlling the costs from the quotation stage, through construction to final account ensuring the profit margins are maintained
* As a Quantity surveyor you will be Performing risk and value management and cost control
* As a Quantity surveyor you will be Recording any delays/ potential disruptions on projects
* As a Quantity surveyor you will be Raising variations for additional works on site
* As a Quantity surveyor you will be Providing advice on contractual claims
*As a Quantity surveyor you will be Preparing and submitting final accounts
*As a Quantity surveyor you will Have experience with construction projects, within an understanding of steel works
* As a Quantity surveyor you will Have good understanding of construction methodologies
*As a Quantity surveyor you will computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages, including Microsoft Excel.
*As a Quantity surveyor you will receive up to £50k based on experience + car and package
A Successful Quantity surveyor candidate will:
* A Successful Quantity surveyor candidate will have a Full UK Driver's license
* A Successful Quantity surveyor candidate will be within a commutable distance of North Yorkshire
* A Successful Quantity surveyor candidate will be willing to travel to sites across the whole of the UK as and when required
* A Successful Quantity surveyor candidate will Have 10 years' experience
* A Successful Quantity surveyor candidate will have experience dealing with putting in application payments and following up
