We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Highways team based in Ipswich. Location: Ipswich
Contract: Permanent, Fulltime
Salary: £45k - £55k + Company car + Benefits

Responsibilities

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will provide commercial expertise to contracts, to include the production and submission of valuations, claims, budget monitoring, and contract/workstream performance data.

Your day to day will include:

  • Support the authorisation and submission of project variations and authorise the placement of contracts, subcontracts, material and plant orders
  • Maximise cash flow, through the control, measurement (including quality) and valuation of work, as well as the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers.
  • Value work executed by sub-contractors and certify interim and final payments

  • Educated to a degree level, or hold an equivalent qualification
  • Work in a similar role and environment
  • Have a track record of presenting reports and findings to stakeholders and demonstrate commercial awareness
