Quantity Surveyor Job in Liverpool
Quantity Surveyor job in Liverpool for a Top 10 housebuilder and the UK's largest delivery partner for Homes England. Reporting to the Commercial Director and with the support of an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be managing two sites across Leyland and Blackburn. The role offers a salary of £50,000 - £65,000 + £6k Car Allowance + 10% Bonus (negotiable).
The leading housebuilder provides homes of all tenures and is the largest delivery partner of Homes England. They employ over 1000 people across 11 offices nationwide and still expanding. You will be joining a busy commercial team with a strong pipeline of new developments.
Role & Responsibilities
- Setting, monitoring and delivery of budgets
- Contractor orders, payments and production of accurate and timely reports
- Work closely with the Commercial Manager to ensure junior members of the team are provided with the necessary guidance/support
- Price/forecast the cost of the different materials required
- Liaise with the subcontractors, site staff and other departments to ensure communication and collaboration is at its highest
- Protect the company's legal and contractual obligations
- Increase trade contractor base
- Tender for 'all risk' Road, Sewers and Plot works, negotiate for best value package and present for approval.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years' experience as Quantity Surveyor
- Must have housebuilding experience
- Must be experienced in pre-contract budget to final accounts
- Ability to lead and mentor junior members of staff
- Driving Licence and own car essential.
