Quantity Surveyor Job in Norwich
Quantity Surveyor job based in Norwich for a reputable housebuilder and development partner. If you are an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a housebuilding or residential main contractor background, then we want to hear from you. You will be joining a busy commercial team covering sites across Norfolk, the role offers a salary of £40,000 - £65,000 dependent on your level + car allowance £5k/£6k + bonus with further scope for progression in a growing region.
Made up of 858 employees they typically 50/50 split between Contracting and Development. They deliver high-quality homes for sale and rent, investing in communities in partnership with local authorities, housing associations. They are a subsidiary of one of the UK's largest construction groups, and with 8 established regions in the UK, they offer stability and financial backing. Their East Anglia region is delivering around 500 units per year and growing with a solid pipeline of projects with strategic partners and private development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, typically managing 2 sites at different stages
- Managing applications/certification/invoices/internal notices and receipts
- Establish appropriate targets/rates and re-measurement/evaluation of labour only/direct labour outputs
- Procurement/tender of sub-contractor packages
- Contract Administration
- In conjunction with the Managing Surveyor ensure that payments/notices are issued
- Monitor and notify the line manager of any financial/commercial risks
- Final accounts.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Housebuilding or residential main contractor background
- Tender to final accounts
- UK driving licence.
