Quantity Surveyor Job in Wilmslow, Cheshire
Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor job in Wilmslow, Cheshire for a leading regional housebuilder. The role offers a competitive basic of £50,000 - £70,000 + £7.5k - £8k Car Allowance + 10% Bonus. Our client is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor from a housebuilding background.
They are one of the largest independently owned housebuilders in the UK and have won numerous national awards in design, construction, and energy efficiency. Covering the North, Midlands and Central areas of the UK, they are renowned for creating quality homes with the highest quality materials and finishes. You will be covering their North region, across Cheshire, Derbyshire, Greater Manchester and Lancashire.
Role & Responsibilities
- Pre-contract, post-contract through to final account sign off
- Working as part of a commercial team and taking lead across typically 2-3 sites
- Tendering & Procurement
- Cost Control & Budgeting
- Subcontractor negotiations
- Valuations
- Cost Value Reconciliation
- Management of subcontractors
- Issuing any variations
- Final Accounts
- Benchmarking and analysis of build costs
- Cost Engineering.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years as a Quantity Surveyor
- Experience working for a UK Housebuilder
- Relevant Degree would be preferred but not essential
- Experienced in COINS would be advantageous.
