JOB DESCRIPTION:

Quantity Surveyor required for an internal fit-out/construction join a growing company based in Trafford Park. Our client is looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic person to join the team.

  • Working on construction, fit-out, small works, PBSA and M&E projects with values ranging between £2M - £7M
  • Responsibility for the internal procurement process of subcontractors.
  • Receive and analyse quotations, liaising with Contracts, Project & Site Managers.
  • Liaising with sub-contractors and consultants.
  • Attending site progress meetings.
  • Produce and send enquiries to subcontractors inviting them to tender.
  • Certify interim and final payments and final subcontract accounts.
  • Produce bill of quantity/activity schedule for payment purposes.
  • Produce cash flow forecasts for internal and client purposes.
  • Monitor and control income and expenditure on contracts e.g. interim/final applications for payment/final accounts/payments for late monies etc. liaising where necessary with the relevant people e.g. engineers, clients etc.
  • Produce relevant monthly reports for the Directors e.g. cost and value comparisons, turnover forecasts etc. ensuring information is complete and accurate.
  • Provide advice and support to the site team in order to optimise the use of contract resources.
  • Produce accurate bills of quantities & take offs for tendering opportunities.
  • Produce & return accurate tender estimations/quotes to clients.

Requirements for the role

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Good Client interfacing skills and experience
  • Quantity Surveying Degree or industry standard (RICS)
  • Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels including directors
  • Can maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Excellent time management skills and able to work to deadlines
  • Proficiency in PC operating systems (Word / Excel / Outlook / Cost X) Knowledge of EQUE2 would be an advantage but not essential
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Availability to commute to sites & office
