Quantity Surveyor - Main Contractor
Bristol | Up to £65,000 basic plus package
Are you a driven Quantity Surveyor looking to progress your career with a growing main contractor? This is a brilliant opportunity to join a close-knit team in Bristol delivering high-quality construction projects across residential, student accommodation, commercial, and fit out sectors.
This company specialises in Design & Build (D&B) schemes and is looking for someone with ideally around 3-5 years' experience in the industry - someone confident and commercially aware, who's ready to step into a Senior Quantity Surveyor role in the near future.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Managing costs across the full project lifecycle - from tender stage to final account
- Preparing valuations, cost reports, and forecasts for internal and client use
- Administering subcontractor packages - procurement, payments, and variations
- Monitoring project budgets, identifying risks, and implementing cost-control measures
- Working closely with site and project teams to ensure commercial alignment
- Supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager in the delivery of multiple construction projects
- Attending project and client meetings as required
- Ensuring all work complies with company procedures and contractual obligations

What we're looking for:
- Around 3-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within a main contractor environment
- Knowledge and exposure to Design & Build, fit out, and mixed-use construction projects
- Strong skills in managing subcontractor packages, cost reporting, valuations, and final accounts
- A proactive, detail-driven Quantity Surveyor who thrives in a collaborative team
This role is ideal for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor who's looking for a step up, more responsibility, and exposure to every phase of a project lifecycle within a successful and growing construction company.
