Job Role: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Berkshire
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 PA
Sector: Modular Construction

A large multi-national group are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial delivery of large scale housing projects.

This household name are backed by decades of experience in the financial services sector with particular expertise of residential and property financing around the globe. Their knowledge of the housing market is unrivalled and they have already invested in a large scale, fully equipped Modular Housing Factory.

Now poised to enter the market with a revolutionary product and compete with national developers, this business is driven to attract the very best candidates to deliver their projects.

The Role:

  • Contracts: administer and manage construction contracts, maintaining awareness of relevant clauses and keeping a firm grasp of variation management
  • Communication: lead on contract structure with external and internal clients, take a lead on dispute management and resolution
  • Strategy: key input to project planning and resource allocation
  • Estimating: prepare build cost estimates, ensure feasibility inputs are realistic
  • Procurement: lead and develop procurement strategy and supply chain - maximising economies of scale
  • Leadership: lead and develop the change management strategy
  • Reporting: maintain records including diaries, drawings and data


The Requirements:

  • Education: to a HNC or Degree level in a Construction discipline - MRICS highly desirable
  • Experience: demonstrable experience within development projects
  • Background: main contractor or national developer
  • Attitude: a high calibre professional with a project mentality
