My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Planned Works Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of planned construction projects within the social housing sector.

What does a Quantity Surveyor role entail?

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for planned works projects.
  • Manage procurement processes, including tendering and contract negotiations.
  • Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
  • Collaborate with project teams to provide expert cost advice and guidance.
  • Review and evaluate contractor payment applications and variations.
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to project costs.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports to senior management.

Requirements for the Site Manager role:

  • Extensive experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the social housing sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction cost management, tendering processes, and contract administration.
  • Commutable distance from Essex
  • Experience in major planned works, K&B's, cladding etc
