My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Planned Works Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of planned construction projects within the social housing sector.
What does a Quantity Surveyor role entail?
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for planned works projects.
- Manage procurement processes, including tendering and contract negotiations.
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
- Collaborate with project teams to provide expert cost advice and guidance.
- Review and evaluate contractor payment applications and variations.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to project costs.
- Provide timely and accurate reports to senior management.
Requirements for the Site Manager role:
- Extensive experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the social housing sector.
- In-depth knowledge of construction cost management, tendering processes, and contract administration.
- Commutable distance from Essex
- Experience in major planned works, K&B's, cladding etc
