We are currently recruiting for a QS to work on a complex rail project in West London. You will have good rail experience either with Network Rail, Crossrail or Overground.

This is a great opportunity to work for a principal contractor who are involved in a number of sectors such as rail, civils and building. This company have a number of projects within London and the UK with many more in the pipe line.

Role Description:

*Report and explain the commercial progress to senior project management.
*Cost Planning and pre-contract cost control.
*Recognise and react to cost sensitive areas.
*Monitor & control critical elements of the process.
*Identify & communicate threats to budget & programme
*Evaluate and negotiate tenders including subcontractors and suppliers.
*Assess and identify risks and opportunities as part of risk management
*Compensation event management

Skills required;

*Hold a valid Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying
*Previous use of the NEC 3rd Edition Option A/B/C/D/E.
*Experienced with the preparation the NEC subcontract
*Have previous experience working with the compensation event procedure - both Client and Subcontractors
