Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Dublin

Salary: Neg DOE

The Job:

Our client has is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their surveying team. You will be working on a variety of commercial, public works, industrial and pharma projects within the construction sector.

Senior Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:

  • Financial accountability for projects.
  • Contract administration.
  • Track all projects to completion.
  • Produce cashflows.
  • Production of subcontractor documentation.
  • Subcontractor H & S and insurance reviews.
  • Procurement and management of the supply chain.
  • Mentoring and training of junior staff.
  • Attend site progress meetings.
  • Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction manager / supervisors to discuss costs.
  • Monitor cost from vendors or subcontractors around design changes.
  • Maintain records to track variations on projects.
  • Assist with on site construction inspections and measurement.
  • Senior Quantity Surveyor Requirements:
  • Education to degree level in Quantity Surveying.
  • 4+ years experience within a construction industry.
  • Commercially and contractually aware.
  • Methodical, great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong measurement, subcontractor procurement and excellent negotiation skills.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills and have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with customers, design team members, site based workers, colleagues and the capacity to build strong working relationships.
  • Experience in cost control and valuation preparation.
  • Good communication, presentation and writing skills.
  • Good organisational and project management skills, the ability to multi task.
  • Excellent IT skills and have a working knowledge of Buildsoft, Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
