Role overview
Breedon are currently seeking a Quarry Manager based at our Daviot Quarry in the Highlands Region. As part of the Operations Team, reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for the safe and efficient management and operation of the Quarry, covering the aggregate, asphalt & ready-mix concrete production.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for any statutory procedures and reporting, in line with the license to operate the quarry
- Responsible for the monitoring of the condition of plant and its performance whilst ensuring the effective use of maintenance services to ensure its ongoing capability therefore, working with preventative maintenance schedules
- To ensure focus on production i.e. targets and quality to achieve the agreed customer requirements and specification
- To ensure the timeliest and cost-effective production of all materials produced on site
Working as part of a team, you will have a flexible proactive approach to establish high standards of work performance, optimum product quality and promote quality control, safety programmes and regulatory compliance. You will demonstrate a sound knowledge of blasting operations, crushing and screening, maintenance activities and have the ability to effectively plan and organise multiple operations.
This position may provide you with a new challenge together with genuine long-term stability and the opportunity for development as continuous training will be provided.
