Role overview

Breedon have an exciting opportunity for a Quarry Operative in a control room environment to join our team at Minffordd Quarry near Porthmadog, North Wales.

Your key responsibilities will be to operate and cover for the asphalt batching plant, crushing plant, and weighbridge and ensure this is done in accordance with our safety, environmental and quality procedures. You will also conduct administration tasks, including using IT systems in order to efficiently operate the site.

You will also have the opportunity to assist with the day-to-day operations on site, including:

  • Maintenance and operations of the asphalt plant
  • Promoting the company's safety culture through example
  • Operate systems in accordance with procedures

We would like to hear from you if you are keen to make a positive difference to our business and the service received by customers. A commitment to achieving world class safety standards, strong communication skills and the ability to work well with our drivers and other colleagues are all important. It would be an advantage if you have worked in a similar role before and have a good understanding of general plant maintenance, and relevant qualifications such as Loading Shovel.

You will hold a current driving licence, be flexible and adaptable in your approach to work and be able to remain calm under pressure.
