Breedon are currently recruiting a Quarry Operative to join our team at Cowieslinn Quarry, a hard rock quarry in the South East Scotland Region. As part of the operations team, reporting to the Quarry Manager, your role will be a practical 'hands on' position operating mobile wheeled loaders and fixed plant, mainly crushers, screens, and conveyors in a quarry environment.
You will become fully aware of the Company's Health, Safety and Environmental policies and ensure they are always adhered to. Working in this busy environment, you will be responsible for the daily inspections, maintenance and housekeeping of the mobile and fixed plant associated with your work role.
You will have a flexible, proactive, and versatile approach to work. You will ideally hold a current MPQC/CPCS skills card; however, training and development will be given to candidates who can demonstrate the necessary skills and aptitude to take on this challenging role.
This position is ideal for a highly motivated person with experience of plant operations preferably with knowledge of aggregates.
