Located in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park, Cwt Y Bugail is exceptionally unique and owing to its remote location the role does come with some challenges, but the views more than make up for it!
At Welsh Slate, we can offer a truly different quarrying role and our teams take immense pride in their work and the production of our slate products. As a whole we endeavour to grow the slate product portfolio from our quarries and continue to expand our footprint and we'd like to take you on that journey with us.
You will primarily operate a variety of mobile plant to aid in the safe undertaking of our quarry activities; including the extraction and transportation of slate block for processing at our onsite slate manufacturing facilities.
You'll be an ideal fit for this position if you have a great sense of humour and don't mind getting your hands dirty!
Do you have…?
- A full UK Driving Licence - owing to the location of the quarry you will need to be able to drive your own vehicle or otherwise be able to reliably get yourself to work on time.
- A genuine interest in the construction materials industry, specifically an interest in driving heavy mobile plant machinery.
- Experience of operating mobile plant (Articulated Dump Trucks, Excavators) in a Quarry environment would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided to the right candidate.
The current working pattern for this role is days, however there may be future requirements to work shifts.
