Role overview

Breedon are currently seeking a Rail Process Operator to join our team at Hope Cement Works, Derbyshire. Our Rail teams have responsibility for the whole of the rail operation at Hope Works and are multi-skilled shift teams who play a key part of the operation.

The following skills and experience are needed:-

  • An aptitude for mobile plant operation
  • First-line maintenance
  • Inter-personnel skills with people outside of the working team
  • Basic understanding of cement manufacturing process
  • Knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality issues
  • Experience of working in a team

and the following could be an advantage:-

  • Good working knowledge of Network rail rules and regulations
  • Rail shunting & Locomotive driving experience
  • Stock & quality control
  • Experience of working shifts
  • Experience of coal discharge operations
  • Experience of PFA discharge operations
  • Experience of Cement loading operations
