Regional Business Development Manager
Location: Close to either our Basingstoke or Loughton offices - you will be southern based but willing to undertake national travel

Contract: Permanent, full time - Monday to Friday

To help realise our growth ambitions, Kier Places are seeking a Business Development Manager, to join our Housing Maintenance Team. As a business, we have set ourselves challenging work winning targets and the successful candidate will be critical to achieving our success. We are looking for talented people with creativity and a passion for winning.
Key Responsibilities
As a focused Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for increasing revenue within Kier Places by identifying new business opportunities and developing bid plans that optimise our ability to secure these works; you'll pro-actively lead the development of relationships with potential clients and partners; and you'll be expected to maximise the flow of income to the business and expose clients to the wide range of services that Kier have to offer.
As a trusted member of Kier Places, we will look to you to produce key client and opportunity development documents including the plans and project/service specific strategies, and be responsible for ensuring all business development and projects related work is delivered in accordance with Kier, client and statutory Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures and undertake assessments as required.
What do we need from you?
To be a Business Development Manager with Kier, you will have experience in a Social Housing / Housing Maintenance environment, with proven excellence in a sales / business development management role, and with a proven track record of achieving targets. We're on the lookout for those who also have a good knowledge of public sector procurement and bidding for works in our operating sectors, as well as negotiating and presentation skills with an ability to write high level reports, proposal, and tender documents.
Due to the nature of this there, you should be prepared to travel, spend time away from home overnight, and have a flexible approach to working.
