We're looking for a Regional Commercial Manager to join the team in Trafford Park. The role of Regional Commercial Manager is a hands-on, commercial, and results-driven manager who has a passion for coaching and developing teams, delivering excellent customer service, and role models our Company values. You will lead and develop the performance of the commercial teams in the Region by promoting the Company's hire business, including our full range of products and services. The key focus of this role is maximising opportunities and order winning activity. As a Regional Commercial Manager, you will be accountable for the commercial strategy, as well as exceeding budget targets for contract value, order numbers, and opportunity numbers. You will be responsible for influencing the strategic direction of the company's marketing activity. You will work alongside Projects and Service teams in the Region and the Building Service functions, as well as promote an environment of effective teamwork and communication. Role Details * Starting salary: £50,000 - £54,000 * Role based: Trafford Park, M17 1AW * Contract type: Permanent * Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays Role Responsibilities * Accountable for the delivery of the following targets for the year - contract value of up to £13.1m, order numbers of up to 237 orders, up to 1,007 opportunities as well as other commercial KPI's. * Provides hands on support for high value and complex opportunities includes customer contact and liaisons with key support functions. To ensure that order winning potential for these is maximised * Provide coaching, mentoring and motivation to commercial teams, providing focused support and sales coaching to achieve their targets including accompanied visits and achievement of the commercial areas objectives and KPIs, ensure performance is maximised. * Answerable for ensuring compliance to business and quality processes within the region, including ISO 9001, ensuring that that the commercial processes are aligned to deliver maximum efficiencies, * Promote a culture of Health and Safety by taking a management responsibility for ensuring safe working and consideration for health and wellbeing. Personifying Zero Harm. * Ensure that sound customer relationships are developed in the region through effective communication to provide excellent levels of customer service resulting in repeat, continued or new opportunities and orders. * Support tender submissions through active involvement from proposal and agreeing the order winning strategy. We're looking for someone with substantial commercial experience including face to face technical sales experience and business development. The successful candidate will have experience in leading, developing and motivating teams, and demonstrable experience in negotiation and influencing clients and internal stakeholders. You should have a good understanding of commercial contracts and have tendering experience. The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate understanding of margin control and have some experience operating and influencing at a strategic level.
