Location: Crawley: This is a Regional Role that will spend time across offices in our Southern Business.
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Responsibilities:
As a member of the SLT the Regional Director will be drive and empower the performance of the regional business and will:
· To manage the resources within the Southern region, overseeing a portfolio of operational and pre-construction projects across different frameworks inc. the current delivery of schools, healthcare and commercial projects to £75m.
· Growing the business and building a profitable pipeline of work to increase revenue, profit and cash will be a key opportunity over the next three years.
· Have the appetite to set challenging operational delivery agendas across safety, wellbeing, productivity, sustainability and digital. Capable of translating the Kier project delivery blueprint into consistent operational performance driving industry leading performance.
· Working with their regional SLT to deliver a safe, healthy and inclusive wellbeing environment delivering YOY improved performance across the South ensuring the highest standards, compliance with process and strongest of safety cultures.
· To lead, manage, motivate, and inspire diverse, highly motivated employees, providing opportunities and development for all employees, enabling them to bring their best selves to work and lead a culture where everyone can reach their potential, be included and contribute to business success.
· Accountable for shaping work winning strategies and taking this forward into successful execution of pre-construction and mobilisation programmes.
· Accountable for building high performing teams with our internal teams, design partners, clients, customers, and sub-contractors.
· Represent the business and connect with both public sector and blue-chip private clients, through existing networks of consultant relationships and the skills to build new relationships.
· To develop and build strong relationships with the Southern Supply Chain network
· and Construction ecosystem of Architects, Clients and PQS.
· Lead the focus and develop opportunities to enhance our delivery and customer offering by exploring sustainable modern methods of construction, productivity and digital developments.
· Be an active, visible member of the regional senior leadership team.
Who are we looking for?
· Have senior operational experience within a similar role
· Can demonstrate management of a high value business / business unit
· Strong understanding of delivering construction projects up to £200M utilising Mordern Methods of Construction
· Strong people management and mentorship skills.
· Strategic mindset, ability to develop and execute short-, medium- and long-term business plans.
· Excellent commercial acumen, strong understanding, or NEC contracts, 2 stage tenders and modern procurement routes.
· Ability to identify and nurture talent across the business.
