The role comes with the full responsibility of ensuring the smooth running of all of the site infrastructure and applications across the division and productivity seeking resolution to known issues along with recommending potential new processes\solutions that will improve user's experience. You will ensure that all activities fall in line with the guidelines that are given from the Head of IT to ensure a standard approach is adhered to whilst also working closely when required with the Infrastructure team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the assigned team of IT Support Engineers
- Managing the efficient resolution of all support tickets that are raised
- Manage the escalation process to any third party support partners.
- Activity engage with the Management Team to ensure there is an effect link between IT and the business.
- Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks including switches, routers, servers printers, other IT hardware and network patching.
- Active Directory and Group Policy management and maintenance.
- Office365 management and maintenance.
- Application support and software installs.
- Talk users through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues.
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
- Regular site visits to engage with users face to face and proactivity evaluate any potential site improvements.
- Test and evaluate new technology
- Support the roll-out of new applications.
- Support the roll-out of new sites either through acquisitions or organic growth.
- Support security activities and be aware of all cyber related attacks.
- Proactively support company compliance to Health and Safety legislation through adherence to company polices, processes and practices.
- Work closely when required with all members of the IT team across the group.

- Undertake any other activity as reasonably requested by management.
Essential Skills required:
- In depth knowledge of Desktops, Servers, Networks LAN/WAN including cloud hosted solutions. ยท knowledge of firewalls, proxies and antivirus.
- Ability to prioritise workload, flexible in approach to problems and use own initiative to achieve results.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Professionalism and confidence at all times.
- Must be prepared to visit any sites across the group for short periods at short notice which may include overnight stays.
Desirable Skills required:
- Must have the flexibility to work in a dynamic company with a wide product range, and approach their work with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
- Must be able to manage their own schedule workload
