Location: This role will require leadership presence from our Dartford Head Office 3 days a week with the option to work remotely 2 days (Subject to current LOR Hybrid working polices). Some travel will be necessary to visit our Design Centres and projects.

The Regional MEP Digital Engineering Leader is a senior member of the Technical Job Family and Design Centre Function. The DC function within Crown House provides the capability to fully engineer our projects before commencing work on site ensuring an optimised engineered solution, technical excellence, maximised use of offsite products, reduced waste, and enhanced delivery efficiency. Examples of the duties that will be required as part of this role:
- Will manage the MEP Digital Engineering (BIM, Modelling & Coordination) Operations for a Regional team and/or specific projects within the CHt business to provide consistent high quality and cost-effective delivery to CHt and CHtM. They will support the MEICA Design Centre Leader to ensure that the Digital Engineering team deliver against operational, functional, and business goals.
- To plan DE forward workload for their projects ensuring that the DE teams are working at optimum capacity with adequate and capable resource
- They will ensure uniform quality and maximum efficiency is achieved across the DE team on their projects for the delivery of installation and manufacturing drawings and information
- They will establish and work closely with a regional DE supply chain to ensure quality and consistency of delivery in accordance with business requirements
- They will work in conjunction with design, engineering & operations leaders to ensure a coordinated and efficient approach to the production of information
- They will prepare detailed scope, cost, and programme for each of their projects
- Provide management and guidance to the Lead MEP Digital Engineers to ensure that Scope, Cost and Programme of the DE, Co-Ordination, and DfMA works is met against the original DE Proposal.
- In conjunction with the other MEP DE Leaders and MEICA Design Centre Leader, regularly plan & review forward workload.
- Issue regular dashboard reports on projects to the MEICA Design Centre Leader including assessment of progress, cost and information required
- Support the MEICA Design Centre Leader in estimating costs and preparing capability statements for Project bids
Core skills required
- This role is open to experienced applicants with >15 years construction MEP industry experience and significant experience in a role with a similar level of management responsibility.
- Around 5 years' experience of spearheading the Digital Engineering / BIM delivery on projects above £20m MEP.
- A good understanding of BIM level 2/ISO:19650 requirements and the current Digital Engineering standards.
- In depth Knowledge of MEP services and installations
- Ability to produce drawing to the standard defined by BSRIA BG6 as 4b
Desirable skills
- Ability to author and interrogate complex 3D models using Revit MEP and Navisworks with responsibility for own package/section of project.
- Professionally qualified / chartered by a recognised body
