Registered Manager (Residential Care Home)

£55,000 plus performance related bonus

If you are an experienced manager with outstanding leadership skills then we want to hear from you. We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to run and manage a large 70 bed care home.

You must have a wide range of experience and be focused on excellent care delivery. The successful applicant must be able to develop positive relationships with external stakeholders such as CQC, social services and the local safeguarding team; and also motivate, train, recruit and develop staff.

Main responsibilities:

  • Leading and developing staff across all functions (care and non-care)
  • Ensuring all staff are trained to the required levels
  • Implementing and managing of audits and quality assurance structures
  • Staff recruitment, selection and training
  • Employee relations, including staff communications, managing absence, grievances and welfare
  • Managing referrals
  • Managing the level of occupancy by utilising links with the local community, and positively marketing the home

About you:

  • Must have a strong understanding of care delivery within a large residential care home.
  • Must have a resilient character, with high standards of integrity.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • The ability and drive to be caring and supportive of resident's and their relatives.
  • Experience as a Registered Manager of a care home or similar
  • Comprehensive knowledge of CQC standards and experience of meeting all CQC and social services requirements.
  • Good general knowledge of electronic care plans and rostering systems, or must be genuinely willing to learn about these systems.
