Title: Reinstatement Backfill Support Driver

Location: Commutable within /up to an hour of Kings Lynn.

Business area: Utilities - Anglian Water Framework

Introduction: Working in alliance with one of the leader water utility companies in the UK, this is an exciting opportunity for a customer-centric Operative within Kier Utilities, working on the Anglian Water Contract Including IMR, IMDS, DS.

No day will be the same in this crucial role where most of your time will be spent backfilling and Reinstating excavations created by IMR reactive repair teams on highways, foot paths, verge and in private properties. Using recognized Line in The Sand compaction process and recording for historical data to combat defective issues raised by highways departments in various Counties.

Key responsibilities:
  • Responsibility for personal and site safety.
  • Carry out general construction work as instructed by the Team Leader and/or FLM.
  • Operate and maintain pickup truck/ 7.5 tonne truck and or Mini-Digger.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant Safety, Health and Environmental legislation, business policy & procedure and local instruction & guidance.
  • Ensure full and correct use of vehicles, plant and materials, keeping wastage to a minimum.
  • Any ad-hoc duties that may occur as instructed by the management team or FPM.
    • Skills and experience required:
  • UK driving licence
  • First Aid certificate
  • Manual Handling trained
  • Construction experience
  • NRSWA Operative
  • CPC
  • Mini-Digger
  • Towing
  • 7.5 Ton desirable but not essential.
