Introduction:

Are you looking to join a leading utilities company working maintaining and repairing the water network for your local communities?

If so, we have an excellent opportunity for a customer- centric, backfill operative to join our reinstatement team

You will be responsible for assisting ensuring a quality backfill in accordance with legislation.

Duties will involve carrying out backfill works in the highway, on private property and premises, or as instructed by the Backfill planner. The Backfill operative, where necessary will capture all precise measurements and locations as the task is completed and forward to the planning team through the use of electronic devices

Essential experience is required in driving and operating a grab/HGV vehicle, working on multiple surface types, The Backfill operative must be able to work on their own initiative and be fully aware of NRSWA and relevant legislation. The ideal candidate will be physically capable for undertaking manual works in all weathers.

You will need a full driving licence and NRSWA would be beneficial, as well as demonstrable capability of using IT and smart phone technology

  • Able to operate in a flexible and adaptable manner and work as part of a team
