Introduction:

Working in an alliance with Anglian Water we support a range of functions for Integrated Maintenance and Repair, and Integrated Metering and Developer Services throughout East Anglia. The reinstatement team are responsible for the backfilling, reinstatement and the site clearing of our works, whilst ensuring an excellent customer experience.

Are you looking to join a leading utilities company working on maintaining and repairing the water network for your local communities? If so, we have excellent opportunity for a customer focused, Reinstatement Operative (or gang) to join our reinstatement team.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsibility for personal and site safety
  • Responsible for operating to standards of safety, compliance & competence required by own professional qualifications
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant Safety, Health and Environmental legislation, business policy & procedure and local instruction & guidance
  • Ensure full and correct use of vehicles, plant and materials, keeping wastage to a minimum
  • The ordering and collecting of asphalt required to complete your days tasks
  • Ideally share the driving of a 10t HGV tipper or hotbox
  • Daily vehicle checks, risk assessments, PUWER records
  • Must be able to work on your own initiative and be fully aware of NRSWA and relevant legislation
  • Undertaking physical, manual works in all weathers
  • Responsible for completing quality NRWSA reinstatements in accordance with legislation and business standards, both in the public highway and on private property
  • Engaging with the customer to inform them of our intentions and provide an excellent service
  • Capture accurate data of the work you have completed via electronic devices
  • Communicate throughout the day with the planning team and your front-line manager
  • Ideally you will also be capable of completing white works
  • Any ad-hoc duties that may occur as instructed by the management team

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • UK driving licence
  • First Aid
  • Abrasive Wheels
  • Manual Handling
  • Suitable reinstatement experience / qualification
  • Able to operate in a flexible and adaptable manner and work as part of a team
  • Have reasonable written and numerical skills
  • NRSWA Operative
  • Open to attend training programmes to increase individual skills and knowledge
