Location: Office based in Brecon or Llandrindod Wells

Business Area: Kier Places - Heart of Wales Property Services (HOWPS)

Contract: Permanent, full time - 37.5 hours a week

Hours: Monday to Friday - 7.5 hours per day, alternating weekly start/end times between 8am and 5pm

Heart of Wales Property Services (HoWPS) is a 50:50 joint venture partnership between Powys County Council and Kier, a leading property, residential, construction and services group. Our partnership began on 3 July 2017 and we are responsible for the repairs and maintenance work to council homes and public buildings across Powys. Employing approximately 150 people locally we are headquartered in Llandrindod Wells, and also have teams based in Newtown and Brecon.

Kier Places are recruiting now for a Repairs Coordinator / Call handler to join our team in Brecon or Llandrindod Wells, to support our HOWPS joint venture and assist with the delivery of day-to-day repairs & maintenance.


Key Responsibilities

In the post of Repairs Coordinator, you'll play a key role in a customer centric service delivery - providing a first point of contact for our client, key stakeholders and the operational team. Your day-to-day activities will include taking repair and maintenance requests, checking availability of resources, and scheduling for the necessary work to be undertaken.


What do we need from you?

Can you do it? Yes, you can - if you have outstanding customer service skills and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise work, and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment. Previous experience within the repairs & maintenance sector is highly desirable, as well as experience in a scheduling capacity, and knowledge of Opti Time, CRMs, and job booking systems.
