An opportunity has arisen at our Head office for a Reporting Accountant. This role will be part of the Consolidation & Reporting team which is responsible for all activities required to consolidate the Group results for Aggregate Industries Europe, report into the parent company and coordinate the completion of the statutory accounts with the external auditors. About the role The successful candidate is responsible for driving a culture of continuous improvement and standardization in the Financial Reporting Activities and will interact with the UK Exco members, Business Controllers, Senior Divisional Finance Management and Operational Management as part of the Financial Reporting business decision/commercial support activities. Elements to the role include: Preparation of monthly results and analysis, quarterly reporting and annual submission for a listed parent (LafargeHolcim Ltd.) in line with parent reporting requirements Assist in the production of all statutory accounts, FRS101, FRS102 and full IFRS, along with coordination of external auditors and in-house tax department Organize data collection & consolidation through different accounting systems JDE, GLI, SAP and Excel Responsible for accounts preparation and reporting of Financial Holding Companies (Finco) to high standards of accuracy within tight deadlines Supporting the Senior Reporting Accountant in implementation of the LHARP reporting requirements Development and ownership of integrated reporting templates, financial statement reports for presentation to senior management Various special projects and analytical support for Shared Services Center activities (including financial analysis) Communication with businesses and executive management to ensure data collection for periodic group reporting and statutory reporting Liaising with internal departments (including Tax, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Estates etc) and external parties such as the Auditors, for the production of the statutory accounts What will you bring? University degree in accounting or related business field Recognized professional financial accounting designation (ACA/ACCA) Strong IT skills Track record of delivering Process Improvement and simplification and a “can-do attitude” Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written Detail oriented with effective planning and organizational skills Logical thinker, strong problem solving and analytical skills ?
