Research & Development Engineer
East Midlands
Salary - c£40,000

We've been given a brand-new role for Research & Development Engineer by one of our key clients in the East Midlands - we are finding a number of candidates are selecting this relatively new organisation over more established companies, seeing a real potential and warming to the inclusive company culture.

The job:
- Research & Development Engineer reporting to the R&D Manager, as a key member of the team, working with suppliers and academics in the development of new technologies
- Carrying out evaluations by programme trials and laboratory testing, and supervising testing for new products and prototypes prior to manufacture
- Working to ensure new technologies and products are developed in preparation for manufacture

We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Experience in research / development and/or testing technology for structural products/systems for the construction industry
- Qualified to at least HNC/BTech or equivalent in Architectural Technology or Building
- Able to understand technical drawings and have excellent CAD skills
- Proven enthusiasm for innovation and ideas, able to take initiative and motivate yourself with challenging targets
- Strong attention to detail, good numerical and analytical skills and problem-solving ability

If you are also experienced in house-building, timber frame or other offsite construction sector this would be useful, as would some experience with BOPAS and/or BBA accreditation
