Job Opportunity: Resident Engineer - Solid Waste Sector
We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to join a World Bank-financed project focused on solid waste management in Ghana. This vital role involves supervising the construction of the Ayidan Landfill, contributing to sustainable waste solutions in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure compliance with design and construction standards for landfill projects.
- Lead and manage construction supervision activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Professional qualifications in Sanitary/Environmental Engineering.
- Postgraduate degree in Environmental Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in solid waste management, including landfill design and construction supervision.
- At least three similar assignments in construction supervision.
- Experience in Ghana or the region is preferred.
Contract Details:
- Location: Accra, Ghana.
- Duration: 18 months starting May 2025 (excluding a 12-month Defects Liability Period).
