We're looking for Rights of Way / Amenities Officer to join our Highways team based in Wellingborough. Responsibilities

As Rights of Way / Amenities Officer you'll be working within the Communications Team, supporting the Delivery Team to ensure that public rights of way/access to the countryside is maintained and includes responsibilities within towns and villages to identify and address vegetation issues.

Your day to day duties will include:
  • Undertaking site specific inspections and raising works instructions in accordance with enquiries made by stakeholders, across a wide network of rights of way and public highways in North Northamptonshire, inspections which will be carried out in accordance with the Highway Safety Inspection Manual and the "Code of Practice Well Managed Highways Infrastructure"
  • Categorising, logging and entering defects onto the Works Management System (WMS) and updating customers via the WMS system, working closely with the customer team
  • Attending meetings with stakeholders and landowners to resolve specific issues on the network, as well as consultations with the client and other interested parties to assist with developing strategies for future management of highway trees, the rights of way network, planning matters and any other matters.

This role of Rights of Way / Amenities Officer is great for you if you can:
  • Demonstrate qualifications in a relevant subject or field
  • Provide a full driving licence
  • Show working experience on a rights of way network, with management of trees, specifically highway trees and vegetation
