Title: R&M Operations Manager / Agent

Location: Reading

Project: Thames Water Infrastructure Alliance

Responsible for the motivation, management and safety of the field resources delivering operational activates within a designated area or function ensuring that it meets statutory and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and embed the cultures and behaviours within the JV to be consistent with the IA expectations. Ensure this is consistently delivered throughout the operational team by continuous encouragement of alliance behaviours
  • Maintain a culture of accountability and strong relationships amongst members of the team, contractors, stakeholders and partners
  • Key Liaison point for senior stakeholder contacts to maintain productive relationships
  • Lead the control and audit of site safety
  • Monitor overall performance, identify any weak areas taking appropriate and timely action to rectify them to improve safety, customer and financial metric
  • Motivate and direct delivery teams to achieve agreed performance targets and customer service
  • Create and embed commercial awareness within the operational team at all levels, in order to achieve the JV / IAs commercial outcomes
  • Drive operational productivity in order to achieve the regions ODIs
  • Ensure that operational activities are delivered safely and meet agreed performance targets within specified budget limits

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Management experience of motivating operational teams to safely deliver performance objectives to budgetary limits
  • High degree of responsiveness and commitment to customer service delivery
  • Experience of maintaining site and operational safety standards
  • Demonstrable evidence of delivering year-on-year performance improvements
