Introduction:

Our client are seeking a highly proficient and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Road Opening Licence Administrator. The ideal candidate will have advanced IT skills, particularly in MS systems, and will play a crucial role in managing the administrative aspects of the end-to-end road opening licence processes. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

End-to-End Management: Oversee the administrative elements of road opening licence management processes from initiation to completion.

Permit and Licence Creation: Utilize the Maproad Licensing system to create various types of licences. Enter the location details for the civil crew and input job-specific information from requested emails.

Notification Management: Handle road closure notifications and work permits to facilitate the progression of works, minimizing liabilities.

Issue Escalation: Ensure timely escalation of any issues related to road opening licences and permits to relevant stakeholders for prompt resolution.

Communication and Coordination: Keep work management teams informed about the progress of licence and permit applications/refusals. Chase teams for updates on work completion and photographic evidence of completed works.

Workflow Coordination: Communicate lead times with Workflow Teams and, if necessary, with the Contact Centre for updates related to customer-facing works.

Administrative Support: Provide administrative support for licence/permit applications, including retrospective applications. Inform Asset Operations teams of licence constraints to ensure compliance with prescribed processes.

Error Monitoring: Monitor all notices and data for errors, omissions, or oversights that may lead to fixed penalty charges or work stoppage by the Road Authority/Roads Management Office (RMO).

Request Handling: Receive requests from the civil department to open a road license and initiate the necessary steps in the Maproad Licensing system.

Communication Skills: Demonstrate a high level of communication skills throughout the business, dealing effectively with local authorities and higher levels of management within the organization.
