Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 am - 5:00 pm
Salary: £110 - £130 per day
We are looking for a Roofer's Mate to join our in-house roofing team, working on a variety of social housing properties across Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with roofing experience or a keen interest in developing their skills in the roofing trade, while working in the social housing sector.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with carrying out roofing repairs to occupied social housing properties, including replacing slate, tiles, lead flashing, and repairing chimney stacks, fascias, soffits, and rainwater goods.
- Supporting in fascia and soffit repairs, rainwater goods, and other roof-related repairs.
- Preparing and clearing materials and tools on site.
- Ensuring that health and safety standards are adhered to at all times while working safely at height.
- Assisting in inspections and providing feedback on any issues or requirements.
- Using handheld devices to report works undertaken and to receive daily instructions from the team.
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
- UTR number required for payment (self-employed subcontractor status)
Benefits:
- Paid 10 hour workday, including travel time.
- Overtime opportunities available, including evenings and weekends (paid at time and a half).
