Summary
Gleeson Homes have an excellent opportunity for a Sales Trainer. The purpose of the role is to drive the delivery and ongoing development of the Gleeson Sales Academy and associated sales-related continuous professional development skills and training propositions to ensure that sales teams (both new and existing) have the skills and knowledge required to be effective and meet the Business plans.

Main Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the position:
* Use internal data to measure effectiveness of sales teams across all operational areas, in order to make suitable, relevant and appropriate recommendations for training solutions.
* Schedule and coordinate the delivery of content from the sales training programmes and all other sales training initiatives relating to sales, systems and product, across the business as appropriate.
* Source and plan for content and delivery from subject matter experts, both internal and external, covering areas such as sales operating procedures, policy and standards, sales skills and behaviours, Coins applications training, other systems, New Homes Quality Code, Customer First, conveyance process and product training etc. Complete and keep up to date the Gleeson Sales Team Training Manual, all other training materials and source training and knowledge reference materials.
* Work collaboratively with the Group Sales and Marketing team, Group functional leads and Regional Sales leads to ensure that all Group policies, procedures, ways of working and best practices are incorporated into our Sales Academy fabric.
* Work with the Marketing Director and Head of Organisational Development to design and deliver interventions for existing sales staff, including proactively reviewing and assessing internal and external trends/opportunities, to recommend training interventions, which when implemented will enable Gleeson sales colleagues to deliver performance excellence eg) mystery shops, coaching, mentoring programmes.
* Apply creativity and innovative thinking to training needs and interventions required across the business to devise standout and unique solutions.
* Work closely with the Marketing Director and Regional Sales Directors/leads to drive the development and adoption of agreed changes to sales ways of working and 'people', 'practices' and 'controls' that positively influence and enhance the profitability, operating effectiveness and potential for growth.
* Contribute to the development of Sales Academy eLearning capability.
* Work collaboratively with regional Sales Administrators to ensure the efficient running of the Academy and other team activity generally.
* Work in continuous collaboration with the Group Learning & Development team from design, creation and delivery of interventions.
* Provide key status reports and updates on all KPIs relating to the performance of the Sales Academy.
Ideal Candidate
* A relevant qualification or in-depth experience in sales training
* Proven track record of effective working within an operational focussed Sales Team
* Strong training delivery, content development and continuous improvement experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
* Proficient in COINS & Excel packages
* Knowledge of the Construction Industry
* Broad awareness of codes of practice that impact on commercial matters e.g NHQC, NHBC requirements
