Breedon Group plc is the largest independent construction materials group in the UK. They operate the country's largest cement plant, two cement import terminals, around 60 quarries, 26 asphalt plants, 200 ready-mixed concrete & mortar plants and three concrete block plants, employing around 2,300 people nationwide.
The Group is currently seeking a Sales Lorry Driver. You will be based at the cement depot in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, however, national coverage will also be expected. Initially the role will involve working nights.
As an HGV Class 1 Tanker Driver your duties will include:
- Loading and discharging of dry powders.
- Responsibility for planning own routes in liaison with the logistics team.
- Responsibility for first use inspection and cleanliness of the vehicle.
- Completion of paperwork to a high standard, including tickets and inspections.
You will hold the following skills and experiences:
- Must have a DIGI card.
- Held Class 1 licence for at least 2 years.
- Drivers CPC.
- Flexibility as start and finish times will vary.
- Availability for night and weekend work is essential.
- A strong focus on Health and Safety.
