SALES MANAGER - ISLINGTON

Dove & Hawk are working alongside a market leading multi-branch independent who are looking to recruit a highly motivated Sales Manager to launch and lead a new residential estate agency branch in Islington. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for building the sales operation from the ground up, winning instructions, growing market share, and recruiting and managing a high-performing sales team.


The successful candidate will have strong local market knowledge, proven valuation and negotiation skills, and the drive to establish a successful presence in a competitive London market.

Duties/Functions of the role:

Branch Launch & Growth

  • Lead the setup and opening of the new Islington branch
  • Establish the brand locally and build strong market presence
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy aligned with business targets
  • Identify key streets, developments, and price points within the Islington area


Sales & Instructions

  • Conduct market appraisals and win high-quality sales instruction
  • Manage the sales pipeline from instruction to completion
  • Negotiate offers and manage sales progression effectively
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, buyers, developers, and solicitors


Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and manage negotiators as the branch grows
  • Set individual and team targets and monitor performance
  • Coach and motivate the team to achieve and exceed KPIs
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry regulations


Business Development & Marketing

  • Generate new business through networking, referrals, and local canvassing
  • Work with marketing teams on local campaigns, online listings, and branding
  • Represent the business at local events and community initiatives


Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure full compliance with UK property legislation and AML regulations
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales reporting
  • Provide regular performance updates to senior management

Requirements of the role:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager in residential estate agency
  • Strong knowledge of the Islington / North London property market
  • Track record of winning instructions and closing deals
  • Leadership experience with the ability to build a team from scratch
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organised, target-driven, and commercially minded
  • Full UK driving licence

Salary Budgets: £60,0000 - £70,000 fixed salary year 1 DOE

Required working hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm (Saturdays when required)
